At stARTup, YOU take control of your career and create your own success.

stARTup is held the same weekend as two major gallery fairs: Frieze Los Angeles at Paramount Pictures Studio, and Art Los Angeles Contemporary at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Expose your artwork to thousands of collectors, curators, gallerists, and consultants who will be flocking to the city for an art-filled weekend of discovery. Make your own sales, speak directly to potential collectors, dealers, and curators, and unlike most contemporary artist fairs, keep 100% of your sales.

In Memoriam: Michael Galbreth

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of influential Houston artist and stARTup LA 2020 juror, Michael Galbreth. Michael was 63 when he died unexpectedly last Saturday following emergency surgery for an aortic dissection.

Galbreth was a multidisciplinary artist, collaborator, provocateur, and teacher. Since 1983, he and Jack Massing exhibited as a collaborative conceptual art duo called The Art Guys. The New York Times referred to them as, “part Dada, part David Letterman, pushing the concept of performance art to the outer limits.” Our heart goes out to his family; his passing is a loss for us, the Houston art community, and the art world in general.
