Rebecca Fox

Rebecca Fox is a predominantly self-taught sculptor with over 25 years of experience creating abstract steel and bronze sculptures. Her work explores the infinite possibilities of circles, combining meticulous craftsmanship with innovative patinas to challenge traditional notions of form, balance, and space. Rebecca began her artistic journey by taking metal sculpture classes at City College of San Francisco and refining her skills as a welder and fabricator at 3D Studios in Oakland. Over the years, she has built an extensive portfolio with works featured in over 300 private collections, public institutions, and commercial spaces. Notable placements include Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, Stanford Hospital & Clinics, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and Zscaler. Her sculptures have been exhibited widely across the Bay Area and beyond, earning recognition in prestigious shows such as the California Jewish Open at The Contemporary Jewish Museum (2024), A Question of Balance at the Museum of Sonoma County (2024), and the de Young Open at the de Young Museum (2023). Internationally, art historian Peter Selz selected her work for an exhibition at Ekfrasi-Yianna Grammatopoulou Gallery in Athens, Greece. Rebecca was also selected by the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation to create a large-scale heart for the Hearts in San Francisco project and was featured in ArtSpan’s Selections exhibition. Rebecca’s work has been showcased at venues such as the SFMOMA Artists Gallery and Google’s San Francisco headquarters and in group exhibitions at Seager Gray Gallery and Arc Gallery. She creates her sculptures at Islais Creek Studios in San Francisco, where she continues to explore the dynamic interplay of material, form, and space.
