“My life since COVID-19 has been upside-down, backward, and inside out, you name it. I hope the sacrifices that we all are doing will slow down the spread of the virus and it will all be worth it.”

My work is in constant evolution. It is influenced by many things from personal experiences, stories or random interactions with people. A message of resiliency is the persistent element in my paintings. Sofia Alfaro, an art critic for The Argonaut, declared my work as “magical realism” a popular style in Mexico where I was born. I studied painting and photography in Mexico under-recognized artists such as Mariana Yampolsky and Ortiz Monasterios. This year, the Westlake Art Guild honored me with its mixed media award. My work has been exhibited in Mexico, the US and Latin America.
