Linda Fahey

I am a ceramic artist/designer with a studio + shop in Pacifica. I make a line of functional ware that I sell widely as well as run a small curated shop. The pieces are porcelain, cassius (black) and stoneware clay with various surface treatments including glaze, gold luster, transfer decoration, and recent experiments with car paint, lacquer and gold leaf.

The pieces are designed without an applied narrative. The subject of the snake comes fully loaded with it's own -- I am interested in focusing on form, shape, beauty and the elegance of movement. When installed as a group they are stunning - but also designed to stand alone. There is a mezmerizing fearful beauty that people cannot escape about snakes. I love to watch closely how people approach them, the look on their faces in their eyes.
