Jenifer Yeuroukis
I am a body performance artist who began my journey into fine art as a choreographer. as a movement artist, i believe that the body is a site of struggle that is subjugated to culture, politics and history. utilizing video and dance/theatre performance conventions, i am interested in exploring the relationship between the body as a controlled constructed object and the body as a natural organism. the conversation between these two states of natural and constructed is bitter and sweet; struggling, succeeding and often failing.
